The Digital Transition Is Underway

It's easy to avoid service disruption
We want to ensure everyone continues to receive access to over-the-air broadcast television by providing you with in-depth information about the 2009 Digital Transition.

Please be aware that your service will be affected if you currently receive over-the-air television signals through antennas on television sets that are equipped with analog tuners.

If you currently subscribe to a Cablevision video/television package with your TVs connected to the Optimum Network there is no need for you to do anything - you are ready for the transition. If you have any TVs not connected to the Optimum Network we can help you get them connected.

If you're not subscribed to a Cablevision video/television package Optimum can help you get ready for the switch to digital television with great deals on services.

Learn more about iO TV.

If your television is not connected to the Optimum Network, you can:

  • Become an Optimum customer
  • Expand your current video/television service, connecting all televisions in your home to the Optimum Network.
  • Purchase a DTV converter box from your local consumer electronics store that will convert the digital signal into analog for an existing analog television set. A DTV converter box is an easy-to-install electronic device that hooks up to your analog television set and over-the-air antenna, converting the digital television signal into analog, making it viewable on your analog TV. Visit dtvanswers.com for more information.
  • Purchase a new television set with a built-in (ASTC) digital tuner. Visit optimumstore.com for great deals on TV sets.
