Installation

Installing Optimum Online is easy. Simply follow three simple steps:

1. Connect Cable Modem To Cable Line

Be sure to split your cable at the earliest point of entry in your home using the cable adapter (splitter) we supply.

2. Connect Cable Modem To PC Using Ethernet Connection

Connect the Ethernet cable to the back of the modem. Then, connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the appropriate port on the back of the PC.

3. Activate Your Account

To set up your account and email, you'll need to access the internet through your Optimum Online modem at home. You will also need the phone number and last name associated with the account plus your Cablevision account number.

1. Go to optimum.net
2. Click "My Account" in upper right hand corner.
3. Click "ID Center" and provide the information requested. If you already have a Primary ID, click on "Set up Additional ID's"
